Who We Are

The Wentworth Village Community Association aims to "promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Wentworth & the neighbourhood" by bringing together the residents and other groups in Wentworth to "advance education and provide facilities for recreation and leisure time".

The WVCA is run by a committee of local volunteers, headed by a chairman, secretary and treasurer who are elected at our Annual General Meeting.

Registered charity number: 1075647

What do we do?

The committee is responsible for the day to day running and maintenance of our community centre, the Mechanics Institute, as well as various community events and fundraising throughout the year.

We are always looking for new volunteers and if you would like to get involved please see the Contact Us page.

The Mechanics Institute

Owned by the local authority and leased to the WVCA, the Mechanics Institute is a hub for Wentworth and the surrounding villages. With a large hall and kitchen facilities, the Mechanics is home to a variety of local groups and private events.
